What is a panoramic X-ray?

A panoramic X-ray is a type of X-ray you can get at the dentist’s office to show the inside of your mouth and jaw. Just like traditional X-rays, panoramic X-rays emit radiation to create an image showing your bones and tissues in shades of white and gray.
